Here's something we think about more than we probably should: if our bears could go trick-or-treating, what would they dress up as?
We're not talking random costumes, either. Every scent has a personality, and a good costume should match it. So we asked the only question that matters and gave eight of our favorite year-round scents the Halloween look they deserve.
Grab a candy bowl. The costume party is starting.
Bonfire Goes as the Camp Counselor 🔥
Every Halloween needs someone holding a flashlight under their chin, telling the story about the thing in the woods. That's Bonfire.
Wood smoke and crushed cedar build the campfire, warm leather sets the scene, and a breath of cold night air (that's the ozone) makes you want to scoot a little closer to the flames. It's spooky season's official storyteller, and honestly, it's a little too good at it.
Thunderstorm Goes as the Mad Scientist 🌩️
Hair standing straight up. Lab coat slightly singed. A wild look in its eyes right before the lightning strikes.
Thunderstorm was always going to be the mad scientist. Crisp ozone and rain give it that electric, anything-could-happen feeling, while fir and soft musk keep it from going full chaos. It's alive! (And it smells like the world just hit reset.)
Fall Woods Goes as the Lumberjack 🪵
Flannel shirt, suspenders, thermos of something warm. Fall Woods didn't have to think very hard about this one.
With bourbon, woodsmoke, spice, and a warm amber base, it smells like chopping firewood on a crisp morning and heading inside to thaw out by the stove. Is it technically a costume if it's just how Fall Woods lives? We'll allow it.
Autumn Breeze Goes as the Scarecrow 🍂
Straw hat. Leaves stuck in places leaves shouldn't be. Pockets full of apples it picked "for later."
Autumn Breeze is the scarecrow of the group, all green leaves and crisp McIntosh apple with earthy patchouli and applewood underneath. It smells like standing in the middle of an orchard in October, which is exactly where a scarecrow belongs.
Vanilla Sandalwood Goes as the Blanket Ghost 👻
You know the costume. One blanket, two eye holes, maximum comfort.
Vanilla Sandalwood is our coziest scent, so of course it went with the coziest costume. Soft vanilla wraps around cedarwood, patchouli, and vetiver for a warm, grounded scent that feels like being tucked in. This ghost isn't here to scare anybody. It just wants a snack and a movie.
Oatmeal & Honey Goes as the Bumblebee 🐝
Tiny wings. Fuzzy stripes. The costume everyone wants to take a picture of.
Oatmeal & Honey is sweet in the gentlest way: smooth honey at the heart, with creamy oatmeal milk on top and vanilla and tonka underneath. It's also one of our Happy Air Tech odor eliminators, so it neutralizes odors while it smells sweet. Handy when the house smells like a pile of wet costumes by the end of the night.
Vanilla Bean Latte Goes as the Vampire 🧛
Cape, fangs, very dramatic entrance. But this vampire has a secret: it only drinks lattes.
Vanilla Bean Latte brings rich butter, smooth vanilla, and a hint of caramel, so it's much more sweet than spooky. It still insists on the cape, though.
Bronzed Coconut Goes as... Someone Who Didn't Get the Memo 🥥
Every costume party has one. Everyone else is a witch or a ghost, and then someone shows up in sunglasses and flip-flops.
That's Bronzed Coconut. With sun-warmed coconut, island fruit, spice, and a warm amber base, it's still very much on vacation. And you know what? We respect the commitment. Sometimes you need a little beach in the middle of fall.

Throw a Costume Party in Your Warmer
The best part about this crew is that they get along. Mixing melts is one of our favorite ways to switch things up, so here are two group costumes worth trying.
Ghost Story Night: Bonfire and Vanilla Sandalwood. The camp counselor tells the stories, and the blanket ghost is there to make it cozy.
Harvest Party: Fall Woods and Autumn Breeze. Lumberjack meets scarecrow, and the whole place smells like a fall afternoon on the farm.
So which bear are you going as this year? Pick your costume, fill your warmer, and have a very happy (and very well-scented) Halloween.
